      How to add your translations into your survey?

      Have you prepared your survey in multiple languages? Here's how you can add those other languages into our platform.

      How to use your own survey translations?

      If you already possess your own translations for the survey, you can utilize them in your current survey!

      Guide on how to upload your own survey translations 

      Toggle the Translation field after designing your survey 

      Select the language you would like to add for translation. If the desired language is not available, please use the chat function to contact us, and we will assist you in adding it.

       

      ✅ If You Want Vase to Handle the Translation

      • Toggle "Help me translate" ON

      • Vase will handle the translation for you.

      • You will NOT see any download/upload buttons in the Vase platform.

      ✍️ If You Want to Provide Your Own Translation

      • Toggle "Help me translate" OFF

      • This tells the system that you will manage the translation yourself.

      • You will now see the Download and Upload buttons directly in the Vase platform.

      📥 How to Download/Upload the Translation File

      From Vase platform (For clients managing translation themselves)

      1. Ensure "Help me translate" is OFF

      2. Click on Download to get the translation file

      3. Fill in your translations

      4. Re-upload the file via the Upload button

      📝 Important Notes About Translation File Updates

      If the Questionnaire Has Changed:

      • Download the latest version of the translation file

      • This file will include all previous translations

      • However, newly added or changed questions will carry over the previous translation (which might no longer match).

        • E.g., if a question was changed from “Question 1 xxx” to “Question 1.1 xxx”, the translation will still say “Soalan 1 xxx”

      • You will need to manually update the translation for these edited questions

      • Upload the updated file (e.g., v2 file)

      If Only the Translation Needs Editing (No English changes):

      • No need to download a new file

      • Just edit your existing translation file and upload again

      🧠 Key Reminders

      • All translations are now version-aware — they retain previously uploaded content

      • Make sure to double-check translations when the English content has been updated
